Starting a National GWI Federation or Association



Helping to form an GWI national federation or association (NFA) is an exciting and challenging experience! GWI staff and elected leaders are available to provide advice; however, the momentum for creating a group must come from the graduate women within the country concerned. Here are the first steps to help you get started:


Identify potential members

Who can become a member? Any woman graduate who has an approved qualification from a university or institution of comparable academic…

Establish the governance of your organisation

Once you have the support of a core group of graduate women call them together for a second meeting to elect officials and agree priorities.

GWI’s office is relocating to another Geneva location on 16 August.  For a few days, we will have limited access to our emails, telephone and website. We appreciate your understanding during this time of positive change. We will be back to normal working conditions on Monday, 21 August.
